Lectures

In Scotland, we listened to a presentation by the internationally renowned Daniel Murphy, Honorary Fellow at Moray House School of Education at Edinburgh University on inclusion in school education. He gave a background to the history of inclusion in Scotland and the challenges they face which can be used as a springboard when looking at this issue in other countries as well

We were given a motivational lecture by Stefan van Langevelde from Take a Step, a Dutch expert on motivation for learning among secondary school students. He presented the findings of his extensive research regarding pupils’ motivation for school.

In Sweden we took part in an inspirational, educational and interactive lecture by Tommy Josefsson, integration strategic in Jonkoping Municipality, on why we are the way we are, how we perceive each other and how we interact with each other, to promote a better understanding of “others”.
